…to the top of Mount Roy

By Justin Jones • Apr 15th, 2008 • Category: blog, videoblog

After a few days of chilling out by the lake in the picturesque town of Wanaka, some friends and I decided to hike to the top of Mount Roy. the trek took the whole day, and it certainly took a lot out of us. We were vastly unprepared for the journey the hardly any food and almost no water — the steep ascent and the harsh New Zealand sun took its tool that day. But we made it to the top for some stunning views and good times.

  5. Excellent video, reminded me of the two-hour vertical tramp I did on the Queen Charlotte track without water. No fun, and since the Kiwis were in their beloved jandals and I was decked out in hiking shoes and still lagged behind, I took plenty of crap for that one. Looking forward to more videos.
