Many of you know that Saul Williams is sort of a hero / inspiration to me. He’s a super-talented poet and and slam artist, as well as a a writer, actor, activist (i guess you can say that), etc. Well, he just released a music video to his cover of U2’s Bloody Sunday and I thought I’d share the video with you.
In typical Saul form, he is center stage as alter ego Niggy Tardust (also the title of the album, which you can download for free here), and the video deals on some levels with racism, poverty, and other issues in an in-your-face and (at times) over-the-top manner. Still, a very cool video that gives deeper meaning to U2’s lyrics.
Anyway, enjoy!
